Dr Kate Hislop is a registered architect and has been an academic at UWA for over 20 years.

“Architecture always appealed to me as a career that calls on left- and right-brain thinking. Balancing arts, science, creativity, speculation and pragmatism, it engages with questions of a social, theoretical and practical kind.”

Kate is proud to lead a close-knit community at the UWA School of Design.

“Staff and students work closely together in the classroom, the design studio, on field trips, and in setting up exhibitions. These opportunities to work together ensure a vibrant and creative atmosphere.”
