Finding the perfect study spot can make all the difference. Whether you're looking for a quiet corner to focus, a sunny outdoor space to catch up with friends, or somewhere to work on a group project, UWA's campus has plenty of places to make your own.

From iconic heritage buildings to modern learning spaces overlooking the Swan River, here are some of our favourite places to study on campus.

Here are 6 best places to study on campus at UWA:

Reid Library

A favourite among UWA students, Reid Library offers everything from silent study zones to collaborative workspaces. Whether you're preparing for an exam, finishing an assignment or meeting up with classmates, you'll find a space that suits your study style. The library on average receives more than one million visitors a year, has more than 2,000 study spaces and conveniently features a café for all your study snack needs.

EZONE

EZONE is one of the most innovative learning spaces on campus for science, technology, engineering and mathematics students at UWA. There are plenty of bookable rooms, collaborative work areas and a modern 300 sqm large open space called ‘EZONE Social’, which is also a great place for you to meet up with friends to study and socialise on campus.

Barry J Marshall Library

Looking for a quieter place to focus? Barry J Marshall Library houses more than 1000 study spaces, including collaborative informal study spaces and silent study areas for deep focus, and has 16 bookable group study spaces. Featuring a café, technology-equipped group work rooms, a parents’ room and a designated postgrad study space, it’s an ideal spot for your next study session on campus.

International Student Lounge

Our International Student Lounge is a dedicated space for international students on campus at UWA. It’s the perfect place for meeting new people, getting support, and studying, and is open Monday to Friday, 10am-3pm, inside Shenton House. Please note: The International Student Lounge has temporarily relocated to G31, Student Central (tearoom next to the International Student Support team).

Hackett Café

Hackett Café is the perfect place to study if you like a space that is slightly busier and more vibrant. With both indoor and outdoor seating, comfy couches and an unlimited supply of coffee, you’ll be surrounded by plenty of other students completing their assignments and studying for their upcoming exams. The café also offers an extensive menu of student-priced dine-in and takeaway meals, which make for great brain food for even the longest study marathon.

Matilda Bay

Few universities can claim a study spot quite like this. Just a short walk from campus, the Matilda Bay foreshore offers stunning views across the Swan River and a relaxing place to unwind between classes.
