Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heart health: key facts
Obtaining access to robust and concise information about the status of First Nations cardiovascular health can be challenging, since information is dispersed and duplicated across an array of peer-reviewed and grey literature – often with a disparity focus. These fact sheets are an output of an integrative review co-led by A/Prof Aunty Vicki Wade (Menzies) and CERC staff. This review synthesised cardiovascular health information using both a First Nations/biomedical perspective and produced the following visual fact sheets for consumers and health workers.

Applying area-based measures to administrative health data
CERC has compiled data files, syntax and a user guide to support researchers applying area-based measures of socio-economic status, remoteness and population denominators to administrative health data. The resources can be used to assign SEIFA measures, remoteness categories and age- and sex-specific population denominators to records using geographic and date information and are described in Youens et al., Australian Health Review, 2025;49(3).
