About EasyPark at UWA
UWA uses the EasyPark digital parking system, for students, staff and visitors to manage parking.
What you need to know
For students and visitors
- Yellow bays: Available for student and visitor parking.
- UWA Health Campus: Only eligible students with an EasyPark UWA account can park in Yellow bays at Car Park 101.
- Optometry building: Only eligible students with an EasyPark UWA account can park in Yellow bays at Car Park 65 during teaching semesters.
For staff
- Red bays: Staff parking is available via EasyPark's pay-as-you-go (PAYG) system.
- Annual or prepaid permits are not available.

- UWA's paid parking hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm (free outside these hours - always check signage).

Parking rates
- Students-eligible (Yellow bays): $1/hour, capped at $4/day.
- Staff (Red bays): See full details on the Staff Intranet.
- Visitors (Yellow and Green bays): $3/hour.
- Green bays: exclusively reserved for UWA clinics (optometry, sleep and podiatry, Oral Health Centre), University Club members and Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery visitors, at $3/hour. Student rates do not apply in Green bays.
- Always check signage and bay colour for zone confirmation.
- Free for sessions under 30-minutes (one free session per day).

Can I buy a semester parking permit as a student?
No. All students use pay-as-you-go (PAYG) parking via the EasyPark app.

Who qualifies for student rates?
Eligible UWA students enrolled in at least one current unit and living outside restricted postcodes.

How do I register?
- Log in to DigitalPermits using your UWA student details.
- Select Student Parking Permit – PAYG – Yellow bays.
- Enter your mobile number and submit.
- Once approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email.
- Download the EasyPark app and set up your account by adding your vehicle and payment details.
Not eligible? You can still park in Yellow bays at visitor rates ($3/hour).

How much will parking cost if I'm an eligible UWA student?
If you are an eligible UWA student registered with EasyPark, you will pay 75c per hour, capped at $3 per day in Yellow bays.

What if I'm not eligible for student rates?
You can still park in the Yellow bays using the EasyPark app or a parking machine, however, you will be charged at the visitor rate of $3 per hour.

Is there a cheaper parking option available for students?
Yes. Eligible students can access half-price offsite parking at UWA’s Claremont campus throughout the year, and use the free shuttle service., which operates during the teaching periods.
How does it work?- Park at Claremont and use the free UWA Shuttle Bus to travel between Claremont and Crawley during peak times.
- This option is ideal for saving on parking costs and avoiding congestion at Crawley.

Visitor parking

Where can visitors park, and what are the rates?
Yellow bays: at $3 per hour via the EasyPark app or parking machines.
Green bays: are specially reserved for clinic and gallery visitors only, at $3 per hour.

Where are parking machines located?
Parking machines are located in Yellow and green zones, but NOT in Red zones. All parking sessions purchased through the parking machines are at the visitor rate of $3 per hour. Always refer to parking signs for restrictions and guidelines.

How to get started
- Staff: Request a pay-as-you-go (PAYG) staff parking permit, through the set up staff parking page.
- Eligible students: Request a PAYG student parking permit via DigitalPermits.
- Download the EasyPark app from your phone's App Store or Google Play.
- Create an account, register your car details and add a payment method.
Note: You can also create an account via the EasyPark website.
- After creating your account, you'll receive a confirmation email from UniPark on how to link your EasyPark account to your UWA profile.

How does the EasyPark app work?
- Ensure your vehicle registration number, payment details and student / staff details (where applicable) are recorded in EasyPark.
- Add your parking area code (shown on car park signage).
- Spin the wheel within the app to select your parking duration and click start parking.
- If you leave earlier than planned, stop your session in the app. You'll only pay for the time you have stayed on campus.

Do I have to pay to use the app?
No, the app is free to download and use.

What if I don't have a smartphone?
- Pay at parking machines located in Yellow or Green zones, or use the online EasyPark payment form.
- Ensure you have a parking bay before submitting the form.
- No refunds are available once the form is submitted.

Can I still pay for parking at machines?
Yes, you can pay for parking using a credit/debit card at machines in Yellow and Green zones (not available in Red zones). Machine payments are charged at the visitor rate ($3/hour).

- Parking machines are ONLY located in Yellow and Green (special reserved visitor) zones, NOT in red zones.
- Always check parking signage for restrictions.

What if my phone doesn't support EasyPark?
Your phone must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Android: Version 6 Marshmallow (API 23) or later
- iPhone: iPhone 8 running iOS 16 or later

How do I add or change my payment details?
Update payment details in the EasyPark app or on the EasyPark website.

What if I bring a different car to campus?
Update your vehicle registration in the EasyPark app:
- Open the EasyPark app
- Click Menu (top-right)
- Select "Vehicles", add new vehicle and save
