What Shruti’s loves most about UWA

A few of Shruti’s favourite things about studying at UWA are the facilities, career opportunities and support services for international students and how much they can help when settling into a new country.

“I’m impressed by the state-of-the-art facilities and the research opportunities this university provides which will be beneficial to my career.

Plus, the student services which the university provides, like the career advice, academic counselling and language support, has been really helpful for an international student, like me, to settle here in Australia!”

Receiving the WA Premiers University Scholarship

The Western Australian Premier’s University Scholarship, funded by the Government of Western Australia, provides a one-off payment of $50,000 to support international students with course fees and other university costs. Each year, up until 2026, two international students from UWA are awarded this life-changing scholarship.

In 2024, Shruti was one of the recipients, and it’s had a major impact on her academic journey.

“Receiving this prestigious scholarship has definitely eased a lot of the financial burden on me and because of that, I can now focus on my academic and personal development here at UWA.”
