Irwin Street Collective Artistic Directors, Cecilia Sun and Shaun Lee-Chen, present a workshop on their approach to Beethoven’s Sonatas for Fortepiano and Violin. Using the “Spring” Sonata as a case study, they explore the playing traditions known to Beethoven through the use of period instruments and the study of Urtext and 19th-century editions.
