Main Stage

The passion for music and the exceptional ability of young emerging artists creates an extraordinary experience for concertgoers. In 2019, some of Australia’s finest young musicians will take to the stage in four outstanding orchestral and choral concerts, taking you on a musical journey from the 1700s to the present day.

Culmination

In Main Stage: Culmination the outstanding ability of our young emerging artists is celebrated as three young performers compete in the finals of the prestigious VOSE Concerto Competition. Who will win this coveted prize? Have your say and vote for your favourite performance in the People’s Choice Award!

After the interval, the orchestra - led by celebrated Australian conductor Ingrid Martin, will perform Hector Berlioz’s colourful Roman Carnival Overture, before they are joined on stage by the UWA Symphonic Chorus for the West Australian Premiere of Lili Boulanger’s powerful lament Du fond de l'abîme
