Knowing The Score | Composition Workshop

Join award winning Australian Composer James Ledger for a free workshop where you’ll learn new composing techniques and gain a unique insight into being a composer.

A great opportunity for students in Yrs 10-12 with a passion for writing music, who are keen to develop their compositional skills. This session will be particularly beneficial to anyone studying composition for their ATAR music.

Together with James, who is Head of Composition at UWA Conservatorium of Music, you’ll explore compositional techniques used by Ravel, Stravinsky and Star Wars composer John Williams and will have the opportunity to ask questions about your own compositions.

You can also chat with a current UWA Composition student and find out about opportunities available at UWA for prospective students.
