The rise of the fortepiano in popularity in the latter part of the eighteenth century brought with it a wealth of music written to be performed by small groups in intimate settings. The artistic directors of the Irwin Street Collective present an evening of eighteenth- and nineteenth-century chamber music on period instruments.
