Are you an aspiring musician looking to pursue tertiary music education? Or are you looking to combine music with another area of interest? Take the next step in your musical journey and audition for entry to the UWA Conservatorium of Music in 2027.  

Whether your passion is Performance or Composition, Songwriting, Classical, Contemporary, Music Theatre or Electronic Music, UWA’s flexible, innovative course structure gives you the opportunity to tailor your study pathway and achieve your unique goals, guided by some of Australia’s leading musicians and artists.  

Applicants looking to complete the Bachelor of Music, Western Art Music (WAM) or a major in Music General Studies, Music Theatre or Music Studies at UWA, must pass an audition (in addition to fulfilling the standard University entrance requirements).

Applicants who are looking to complete the Contemporary Popular Music major should provide an audition video and register for an informal interview (in addition to fulfilling the standard University entrance requirements).

The Conservatorium of Music audition days are:

• Saturday 19 September 2026
• Monday 30 November 2026
• Ad-hoc auditions are available until the start of Semester (end of February 2027). Please note an additional fee applies.

Domestic applicants apply to UWA via TISC and book an audition via this page. 

International students should apply to UWA's How to Apply portal and submit a DVD recording; email the Music office for more information.
