Accelerate! Strings is UWA’s elite training program for advanced Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass players in years 10-12 who are looking to take their performance skills to the next level. 

Participants work closely with UWA Strings staff including  Concertmaster of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra Shaun Lee-Chen and acclaimed educator Suzanne Wijsman.

Topic include: 

  • Workshops to get individualised input on your performance
  • Positive strategies to prepare for performance
  • Working with a collaborative pianist to prepare for exam performance

 Cost: Full scholarship program (there is no cost to participants) 
Application details: Entry is via audition. Record yourself playing two contrasting pieces (on a phone is fine) and send it to us along with a one-page CV listing musical achievements.
