Accelerate! Strings
UWA Elite Performance Program
Accelerate! is UWA’s elite string training program designed for string players in years 10-12, who are looking to take their playing to the next level!
Participants will have the opportunity to work closely with acclaimed educator and Chair of Strings Suzanne Wijsman and Simon Lee Foundation Musician in Residence and Concertmaster of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra Shaun Lee-Chen, as well as some very special guests!
The program will include a wide-range of practical activities including workshops and masterclasses where participants will receive expert individualised input on performance, performance skills and general musicianship.
“I ended up getting 100% for the practical segment of my exam and I think that the [Accelerate] program really helped me get there.” - 2018 Accelerate Student
