About this event
This event is being organised by the UWA School of Agriculture and Environment with input from UWA careers centre.
The forum is designed for:
- Aligning postgraduate training with multi-sector industry needs
- Knowing the opportunities, resources and services available at UWA to develop professional skills
- Exploring post-PhD career options with a range of industries, from government to private consultancy
- Understanding what different industries require from you as a prospective employee
- Building professional networks
A range of speakers with a breadth of expertise are confirmed for this event and there will be ample time provided during the day to engage directly with these industry contacts. The networking can provide you with insights into the representative’s current role and the networks they themselves will have gained through their career pathway. The forum will provide you with information to help you navigate potential career directions and opportunities. Further details are provided in the subsequent short biographies for the industry representatives. You will have an opportunity to talk directly with a few representatives in small groups and individually to everyone during the informal networking breaks.
