Twelve outstanding students from across the State have been welcomed into The University of Western Australia's community with a prestigious scholarship.
The Fogarty Foundation Scholarships are designed to offer financial assistance to students as they navigate their university experience.
The young people awarded the scholarships embody the work the Foundation strives for in empowering, extending and creating opportunities for high-potential young people who demonstrate ambition and curiosity.
The 2026 recipients of Fogarty Foundation Scholarships are:
- Jakob Akhlil - Christ Church Grammar School, Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours).
- Ruby Bell - Presbyterian Ladies’ College, Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) with an assured pathway to Juris Doctor.
- Colin Ferreira - Great Southern Grammar, Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours).
- Anaia Kakulas - Methodist Ladies' College, Bachelor of Biomedicine (Specialised) with an assured pathway to Doctor of Medicine.
- Daisy Laginha - Carine Senior High School, Bachelor of Engineering (Honours).
- William Lewis - Christ Church Grammar School, Bachelor of Biomedicine (Specialised) with an assured pathway to Doctor of Medicine.
- Cohen Beveridge - Willetton Senior High School, Bachelor of Engineering (Honours).
- Anna Mackie - St Mary's Anglican Girls' School, Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours).
- Laura Panetta - Bob Hawke College, Bachelor of Arts with an assured pathway to Juris Doctor.
- Joshua Patrick - Northam Senior High School, Bachelor of Biomedicine (Specialised) with an assured pathway to Doctor of Medicine.
- Charlotte Swann - Methodist Ladies' College, Bachelor of Biomedicine (Specialised).
- Maxwell Wright - Mount Barker Community College, Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice with an assured pathway to Juris Doctor.
