UWA Sport is pleased to welcome Green by Nature as UWA’s new specialist sports grounds maintenance provider.
Following a competitive procurement process, Green by Nature has been appointed to maintain UWA’s extensive portfolio of outdoor sporting facilities, helping to ensure our grounds continue to provide safe, high-quality and sustainable spaces for students, sporting clubs, athletes and the wider community.
Each year, thousands of people use UWA’s sporting facilities for everything from social sport and community competition through to high-performance training and major events. Maintaining these spaces to a consistently high standard is essential to delivering an outstanding experience for everyone who uses them.
UWA Sport Senior Manager, Organisation and Commercial, Rhys Hyatt, said the appointment reflects UWA’s commitment to maintaining high-quality sporting facilities for the University community.
“Our sporting grounds are at the heart of campus life and community participation. They support everyone from students enjoying social sport through to elite athletes preparing for competition,” Mr Hyatt said.
“Green by Nature demonstrated a strong understanding of the complexity of our sporting environments and the specialist expertise required to manage diverse, heavily utilised playing surfaces.
“We are confident they will play an important role in helping us maintain the quality, safety and performance of our outdoor sporting facilities while supporting UWA’s sustainability objectives.”
Green by Nature brings extensive experience in sports turf, landscape and grounds management, delivering specialist services across a range of leading sporting, commercial and public environments.
UWA Campus Management will oversee the grounds maintenance contract on behalf of the University, working closely with UWA Sport and Green by Nature to ensure the needs of our sporting programs, clubs and facility users are understood and effectively delivered.
The new contract will focus on maintaining high-quality playing surfaces, delivering proactive maintenance programs and supporting the long-term sustainability of UWA’s outdoor sporting facilities.
