The University of Western Australia’s Business School has been recognised as a national leader in the Australian Financial Review’s BOSS Best Business Schools 2025 rankings.

UWA was ranked first in Western Australia and placed within the top five nationally for the fourth consecutive year, ranking third in Australia for teaching, sixth for career impact, and seventh for reputation out of 36 institutions.

UWA Business School Dean Professor Peter Robertson said the recognition built on strong foundations as the home of WA’s first business education program and the ongoing pursuit of excellence.

“We are building on this legacy to achieve our vision of becoming one of the most influential Business Schools in Australia and the Indo-Pacific region,” Professor Robertson said.

“At the same time, we remain focused on our mission to prepare tomorrow’s leaders and partner with industry to drive innovation and transformation.

“We welcome opportunities to collaborate through research and consulting, student engagement, investment in innovation, and executive education programs.”

Professor Robertson also acknowledged the high quality of the Business School’s teaching staff and its advisory board.

“This achievement recognises the high level of commitment, innovation and collaboration each member of staff brings to their work every day,” he said.

Professor Robertson said one of the great strengths of the Business School was its advisory board members who provided very strong connections to industry.

Board members include chief executives of some of Australia’s top companies, such as Wesfarmers, CBH and Alcoa, who are closely engaged with future plans and developments.
