WA's top students awarded Fogarty Scholarships

Eleven outstanding high school graduates from Western Australia have been awarded a prestigious scholarship to study at The University of Western Australia.

The UWA Fogarty Foundation Scholarships are designed to offer financial assistance to students as they navigate their university experience.

By supporting their academic and career aspirations, the scholarships ensure that students can focus on their studies.

The 2025 recipients of Fogarty Foundation Scholarships are:

Joshua Abordi, Mount Lawley Senior High School

Ethan Buzza, Scotch College

Holly Brown, Kingsway Christian College

Santi Chua, Perth Modern School

Stella Freeman, Perth College

Jeremiah Wang, Christ Church Grammar School

Kele Readhead, Perth Modern School

Callum Jones, Ocean Reef Senior High School

Levi Nichols, Manea Senior College

Nishok Nimalan, Aquinas College

Shihan Tan, Wesley College

UWA Vice-Chancellor Professor Amit Chakma acknowledged the impact of the UWA Fogarty Scholarship program, that has provided support to over 200 students since it began in 2004.

"We are proud to welcome 11 exceptional individuals, each bringing unique talents and a drive to excel in their chosen fields," Professor Chakma said.

"We look forward to seeing where their studies will take them and the impact they will have in the future."
