Full Tanks, Full Batteries: Enhancing Australia’s Short- and Long-term Energy Security
Authored by James Bowen
Australia faces significant energy security challenges, particularly in the oil sector, which is heavily reliant on fragile international supply chains. This report advocates for Australia to move beyond market reliance and adopt strategic, inclusive, and resilient energy policies, that energy security should be integrated with climate goals and national defence, and that long-term planning and systems thinking are essential to mitigate risks and seize opportunities.
