The University of Western Australia Cricket Club (UWACC) quenched its thirst for success as its Colts team re-wrote history to bring glory back to the historic club.
The club has a rich history as one of the first cricket clubs in the Western Australian Cricket Association Premier Cricket Competition. As one of the first sporting clubs associated with the University of Western Australia, the club has housed national test cricket players and enjoyed early success in its league and competitions.
In an impressive grand final against Gosnells, the UWACC Colts brought back a winning spirit that has alluded the club for decades. The victory signifies the clubs first male premiership since the 2002-03 season and the first Colts (Under 21s) premiership since 1976-77 season.
The difficulty to win WA Premier cricket premierships cannot be understated , this is a massive achievement by the Club and a really exciting sign of the future
Mitchell Rosher, UWACC President
