Overall, UWA achieved the ‘WA University West Per Capita Champion’, a title demonstrating Team Maali’s ability to compete highly in all sporting categories. An achievement reflected in the 17 bronze, 11 silver and 7 gold medals awarded to Team Maali at the 2022 UniSport Nationals.
After 2189 days, UWA student athletes finally experienced UniSport Nationals on home soil. A significant moment for all athletes, officials and volunteers involved in the event. A proud achievement for the athletes that were able to compete throughout the week. The golden moments were truly highlighted in the comradery, sportsmanship, and unity of Team Maali. This campaign demonstrated a dozen of success stories throughout each sport. From teams surprising themselves with achievements to athletes competing in their first nationals.
