The University of Western Australia’s Open Day will be online this year allowing prospective students to take part from the comfort and safety of their home.
The event, to be held on Sunday 27 March from 10am to 3pm, will provide information and support for high school students, parents, teachers and career advisers on how to reach study and career goals.
UWA Director of Future Students Trish Rechichi said friendly and well-informed staff and current students would be available to answer questions about courses, life at UWA and anything else university-related.
“Experiencing UWA Open Day is the best way to get a feel for life at university and find out all the information you need to know – at your fingertips,” Mrs Rechichi said.
Open Day offers the chance to talk to current students, lecturers and graduates and there will be live chat, drop-in sessions and individual appointments available for personal, one-on-one advice.
Attendees can check out the University’s facilities with a 360° virtual tour and learn about courses through a mix of live webinars and on-demand videos.
“This is your chance to get answers and gain insight into our courses and your career opportunities,” Mrs Rechichi said.
“You can also get a taste of what student life is like in so many different aspects including details about accommodation and virtual tours on offer.”
The online experience will also offer information on the Early Offers program and a suite of new courses available to study from 2023.
Discover how a UWA qualification will boost your employability and prepare you for an ever-changing world outside your degree through an experience-rich curriculum and global networks.
Register to receive access to the full program of information sessions and resources to create your own personal schedule for the day.
Registered participants will also receive invitations to upcoming events on campus relevant to their study and career interests and go in the draw for a chance to win one of three student packs of university life essentials handpicked by UWA students.
