Remember the hours spent doing optical and reflected light microscopy in the Geology 3rd Year Laboratory?  

We need your help to raise $500,000 to modernise this critical teaching space and ensure we can continue training geoscience graduates for the rapidly evolving needs of industry and government.

Thanks to generous alumni and supporters, we've already raised $130,000, but the appeal is approaching its five‑year mark. Now is the time to help us reach the finish line. Your contribution today will directly shape the future of geoscience education.

This very important laboratory is in dire need of renovation to provide a practical and inspiring learning environment for geoscience students. We aim to build a bright, modern mixed physical–digital space for undergraduate and postgraduate students to undertake practical activities that combine classical petrology with state-of-the-art geochemical and geophysical data interpretation.

This appeal builds on the generous response of our alumni which provided high quality, research-grade microscopes for this lab. All donations $5000 and above will be recorded on a donor board in the laboratory. All donations over $2 are tax-deductible.
