Students learn about the programs, facilities and resources available at the School of Indigenous Studies and also at various schools and faculties at UWA and the boarding colleges particularly University Hall. The program also includes learning seminars, self-esteem workshops as well as social and cultural activities, which encourage students to meet each other, network and discuss their future.

A friendly and homely atmosphere is provided at UWA by the staff and students at the School of Indigenous Studies (based at Bilya Marlee). Visits include a campus tour which includes activities at a number of faculties depending on students? interest/intended course, meeting current UWA Indigenous students, visits to lecture theatres, the Sport and Recreation Centre and Winthrop Hall.
In 2019, students were introduced to staff and courses in Exercise and Sports Science, Medicine, Engineering, Arts, Law, Architecture and Commerce. Students had the opportunity to visit a residential college, and had information sessions on courses, applying for university and scholarships.
Cultural and social activities in 2019 included a cultural dance and story night, a quiz night and a dinner dance river cruise on the Derbal Yerrigan (Swan River).
UWA would also like to acknowledge and thank Rio Tinto for their continued sponsorship of the program.
