Growing global demand

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a new paradigm in construction. Today, the industry uses 3D models as the basis of building inception, design, construction management and facilities management.

BIM knowledge and skills are beneficial to anyone working in engineering, construction, quantity surveying, architecture, project management or associated industries.

Developing your potential to create innovative solutions for our technological, economic, and built futures, BIM will enable you to make a difference in the construction industry in Western Australia and beyond.

UWA’s suite of BIM courses are designed by construction professionals for the next generation of industry leaders.  Our teaching staff are industry leaders working on some of the biggest infrastructure projects both locally and internationally.

As a BIM student, you will learn about the software behind major infrastructure including water, roads and bridges.

Our face-to-face and online teaching resources allow you to navigate through the course in a manner that suits your work, personal and family commitments.

Study options

Choose your degree

Make a move towards your career in BIM by gaining a graduate diploma, or put yourself at the forefront of the industry by earning a master’s degree.

The graduate diploma offers articulation into the master’s with full credit, and can be used as an entry point for industry professionals who do not hold a bachelor’s degree but have relevant work experience.

Our BIM courses can be taken in a multi-mode format (with a mix of face-to-face and online units) or 100% online, so you can study no matter where you are.
