Robotics and Automation
UWA is a central hub for Robotics and Automation, in research, teaching and industry relations. The university is home to some of the finest robotics labs in the country and has established Australia’s first engineering degree program in Automation and Robotics. The mining industry in Western Australia is one of the largest users of robotics equipment and autonomous vehicles worldwide, while several local start-up companies are working on innovative AI-based robotics projects.
Degree program
The Bachelor of Engineering in Automation and Robotics is a 4-year honours degree that combines units from the three base disciplines Mechanical, Electrical and Software Engineering with a number of discipline specific units. The program has an emphasis on practical skills and design work.
