Associate Professor Reza Naraghi

Specialist podiatric surgeon training and supervising future industry leaders
Associate Professor Reza Naraghi graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2000 before completing surgical residencies in New York and Los Angeles. As part of his residency training in LA, he participated in a Baja project for children with disabilities in Mexico, gaining valuable experience in managing complex paediatric deformities.
After moving to Australia with his family in 2007, Dr Naraghi began work as a senior lecturer and Associate Professor in podiatric medicine and surgery at UWA. He then completed his PhD studies at UWA in 2018 with his thesis on ‘An investigation into the epidemiology and aetiology of Morton’s neuroma’ from which four publications were produced in high-calibre foot and ankle journals.
Dr Naraghi is the course coordinator for the Doctor of Podiatric Surgery and the unit coordinator for the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, and is actively involved in training and supervising future podiatric surgeons.
He is a registered specialist Podiatric Surgeon and fellow Australian Association of Podiatric Surgeons. He has surgical privileges at UWA Podiatric Surgery Centre, Park Private Hospital, and Westminster Day Surgery Centre.
