The University of Western Australia has a continual roll call of awards, scholarships and prizes presented to staff and students.

Name: Aisha Othmani

Achievement: Aisha Othmani, from UWA's School of Design, won the Best 3D Works award at the 2022 City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Art Prize. The foundational design of the awarded sculpture, In Light Of, stemmed from a Fine Arts assignment Aisha took at UWA last year. The complex custom packaging of the artwork was built by Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery's installation technician Guillermo Kramer. Aisha said she was honoured to be the recipient of the award and thanked UWA staff for their support.

Name: Nikki Schonfeldt

Achievement: MYOB Educator of the Year 2022
A financial studies lecturer at the UWA Business School, Nikki Schonfeldt has been announced the MYOB Educator of the Year for 2022, selected for ably demonstrating this year’s Partner Awards them of ‘Thrive and Shine, Together’. Nikki who teaches introductory financial accounting for undergraduate and postgraduate students, will be officially presented with her award in Melbourne on November 10.
