Students can learn about the variety of study options to help them land their dream job and how courses can be tailored to their interests and professional aspirations at The University of Western Australia’s Open Day on Sunday 28 March.
UWA Open Day, which will run from 10am to 2pm, will showcase a suite of new courses that provide students with skills highly sought after by employers in demand areas.
New courses include combined bachelor degrees where students can combine a major from wide-ranging options with a specialised area of study. Two new courses unique to UWA include a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Philosophy, Politics and Economics, which will provide students with important skills to enter a broad range of careers in emerging industries.
Details of the full UWA Open Day program are available on the UWA Open Day website.
There will be six study hubs around campus where students can meet passionate and engaged academics who are experts in their field, while exploring UWA’s facilities, equipment and interactive displays. Students can also meet current UWA students and hear from graduates for inspiration on where their degree took them.
At the Central Hub on James Oval, information will be available to students on how they can apply for courses, scholarship opportunities, support services available and what it’s like to live on campus, with campus tours running every hour.
After gathering the information they need at the Campus Life Hub on Great Court South, students can unwind with food trucks, games and DJs – offering a glimpse of life as a UWA student.
There will also be information on more than 160 student clubs and societies, and UWA’s Student Guild, Australia’s most active Guild.
Those interested in attending are encouraged to register and start planning their day on the UWA Open Day website.
By registering, students will go into the draw to win a student pack designed by current UWA students that includes Apple airpods, an Uber Eats gift voucher, UWA Sport membership and more.
