COURSEWORK

The UWA Winthrop Scholarship is automatically awarded to eligible high-achieving Year 12 students to encourage and assist them to commence and undertake undergraduate studies at The University of Western Australia.

Eligibility

Applicants to the University are automatically considered for this scholarship and do not need to submit a separate application.

(a) have applied through the Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC) whilst in Year 12 for a place at the University, nominating a course at the University as their first preference in the first round of offers* and

(b) achieve an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of at least 99.90 or

(c) have been short-listed for a UWA Fogarty Foundation Scholarship and achieve the required ATAR as outlined in their conditional letter of offer or

(d) in the opinion of the Coursework Scholarships Committee have attained other academic or outstanding achievement

*For 2020 direct applications to the University are considered equivalent to TISC first preference for first round of offers.

To encourage and assist eligible high-achieving Year 12 students to commence and undertake undergraduate studies at The University of Western Australia.

Value: $5000 per annum

Duration of scholarship: Six semesters, which are normally consecutive, plus an additional two semesters for honours if applicable.
