UWA 101

All the info you could ever want about life at university, from when you first apply to when you graduate. Our Future Students team will discuss the TISC application process, UWA courses and the skills that are important to future employers, and UWA students will be on hand to share their experiences of university life.

Need help navigating high school? This is where you can find out more about ATAR, choosing your subjects for Years 11 and 12, and the courses at UWA. Hear from the Future Students team as they discuss the careers of the future and all things UWA, and from our students who will talk about how they managed the change from high school to university.

Workforces and workplaces are changing. Against the disruption from automation and changing trends in recruitment; how can you evolve in this landscape? This session will provide some insight into ways you can develop a future work mindset using current labour market information and helpful practical steps to learn more about the skills you already have for making future career decisions.

Discover UWA's beautiful grounds and facilities by taking one of the many guided tours of our teaching areas, residential colleges, sporting facilities and historical landmarks.

Residential colleges

Discover campus living by taking a college tour. All the colleges are slightly different from each other, so try to visit as many as possible. College tours include the chance to meet students and see the rooms and common spaces. Each college will also have activities to enjoy as well as FREE food and drinks at various times of the day:

  • Trinity College Brunch 8am - 2pm
  • St George's College Morning tea 10 - 11:30am; lunch 12  -2pm; afternoon tea 2:30 - 3:30pm
  • St Thomas More College All-day morning tea 10am - 4pm; BBQ 12 - 2pm
  • St Catherine's College Gourmet hot dogs 10am - 4pm
  • University Hall Combi coffee 9:30am - 3:30pm
Residential college grounds

Recreation and Fitness Centre

This is the main hub for sporting activity on campus, from social sporting competitions to group fitness classes and the UWA Fitness Centre – the western suburbs' best-kept secret. Take a tour of our state-of-the-art facilities, chat to our trainers about the best package for you, and sign up for a free week! 



UWA Libraries

The University Library provides more than 4000 study spaces in six campus library locations, bookable group-study spaces, technology, help services and a vast collection of print and electronic scholarly information to support your studies at UWA. Visit our biggest and most central library, Reid Library, to explore the exciting new worlds of object printing and augmented reality in our pop-up tech lab inside The Circle, as well as tours taking place throughout the day at all of our libraries.

Campus hopper and parking shuttle

Two buses will run continuously from the front of the University Club and around key points of the  Nedlands campus in both directions. Stops include all colleges, the School of Design and the Business School. Enjoy this FREE hop-on, hop-off service from 10am–4pm.

There will also be a FREE shuttle bus running between Paul Hasluck Reserve Parking and the University Club 10am-4pm. 

Autonomous bus

Ever been on an autonomous bus? Here’s your chance to explore our campus on an autonomous bus - on display at Open Day. You’ll be able to jump on and off from Reid Library down to the Business School and learn about our research in autonomous technology.

Rickshaw Rides

Hitch a FREE ride from James Oval to Winthrop Hall (reflection pond and access to College Row via underpass), Beats & Eats at Riley Oval, to the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery or to the Business School 10am - 4pm.
