The Albany Centre

Surrounded by beautiful nature reserves, Albany is a coastal seaport offering a range of activities from whale watching to bushwalking. Albany’s location in a biodiversity hotspot provides the chance to explore the southern region of Western Australia and get up close with unique flora and fauna.

Campus life

Located in Albany’s historic Old Post Office building and situated along the town’s café strip, the UWA Albany Centre offers students a high-tech learning environment. Multimedia technology enables students to experience Perth lectures over the internet, while smaller class sizes led by expert tutors provide a personalised and supportive study atmosphere. A vibrant student committee also plans regular social events and participates in community activities.

Flexible study

Students have the option of completing their first year at the Albany Centre before transferring to the Perth campus or completing their whole undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Albany. UWA Albany also provides a unique Study Inbroad option to UWA Perth students, enabling students to broaden their undergraduate degree with a semester or year in Albany.
