Professor Anu Rammohan | Director of International Engagement, Business School

Anu Rammohan is Professor of Economics and the Director of International at the UWA Business School. She is the Senior Fellow for the Australia Indonesia Centre at UWA. Her research expertise is in development economics, health economics and agricultural economics. The focus of her research has been on understanding household-level socio-economic factors that can influence maternal and child health outcomes, gender and food security issues in South and South East Asia, particularly in India, Indonesia and Myanmar. Her research has been published internationally, and she has received research funding through competitive research grants from the Australian Research Council, DFAT, Australian Council of International Agriculture Research and the Australia India Institute. Anu currently serves as a member of the Australian Research Council's College of Experts and is on the editorial board of the Economic Record.


Professor Amitava Datta | Professor, School of Computer Science and Software Engineering

Prof. Datta did his MSc in Physics from IIT Kanpur and MTech and PhD in Computer Science from IIT Madras. He did his postdoctoral research at Max Planck Institute for Computer Science and University of Freiburg, both in Germany. He is currently a professor in the School of Computer Science and Software Engineering, University of Western Australia. He was also a visiting professor at the Institute for Computer Science, University of Freiburg between 2001-2010. Prof. Datta's research interests are in data mining, parallel and distributed computing, bioinformatics and quantum computing and information. He has published over 150 papers in these areas in reputed international journals and conference proceedings.
