Premium short-term accommodation for academics and researchers
Forrest Hall offers modern self-catering studio and two bedroom apartments, available to visiting scholars and academics for short stays. To ensure every opportunity to cultivate and stimulate learning is realised, the apartments are complemented by exceptional common spaces, including dedicated study and lounge areas; as well as a library and resource centre.
Each apartment features a private bathroom, kitchenette and lounge area, and a balcony or terrace with panoramic views of the Swan River and Matilda Bay. Forrest Hall also boasts an outdoor terrace with river views and beautifully landscaped grounds, with direct pedestrian access to the river and Matilda Bay Reserve.
Minimum of 5 Nights stay, maximum of 2 months (60 days) stay. Subject to Availability.
All expression of interest through the booking forms will be assessed by the Forrest Research Foundation team to determine if they would like to extend an invitation to you / your proposed guest. The outcome will depend on several elements including a combination of availability, mix of current guests and the range of functions they are coordinating during your requested stay.
Forrest Hall is completely booked until April 2024 and will not be operating during the UWA Shut Down Period.

Forrest Hall short-term accommodation is available to:
- Visiting fellows, researchers and academics from any of the five WA universities
- Family members visiting Scholars or Fellows residing at Forrest Hall
- PhD students (Higher Doctorate, Professional Doctorate, etc) visiting any of the five WA universities
- What are the payment terms?
- To ensure the reservation of your stay, it is imperative that all invoices are settled by the specified due date. Failure to meet this payment deadline may result in the cancellation of your booking.
- What is your cancellation policy?
- We kindly request that all cancellation requests be submitted in written form. To be eligible for a refund, please make sure to cancel your reservation at least three working days in advance. Unless alternative arrangements have been made, please note that bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- What is included in the apartments?

Kitchens are equipped with appliances including a kettle, fridge and microwave; beds are pre-made. Upon request, complimentary housekeeping may be provided for stays exceeding 7 nights.
