What does a Social Policy Officer do?
Social Policy Officers may perform the following tasks:
  • reviewing existing policies and legislation
  • researching trends and issues (including social, economic, industrial) related to existing and new areas of policy
  • preparing briefing papers and recommendations for existing or new policies
  • developing and maintaining policy and procedures manuals
  • providing policy advice to senior staff including managers and politicians.
