What does a Social Policy Officer do?
Social Policy Officers may perform the following tasks:
- reviewing existing policies and legislation
- researching trends and issues (including social, economic, industrial) related to existing and new areas of policy
- preparing briefing papers and recommendations for existing or new policies
- developing and maintaining policy and procedures manuals
- providing policy advice to senior staff including managers and politicians.
