Thesis: Development and implementation of a simulated batting innings for testing and training
This research is looking at possible causes of physical fatigue during a prolonged simulated cricket batting innings (2.5 hours) by observing physiological parameters and tendon mechanical properties. In order to achieve this aim, a prolonged batting simulation has been developed. This simulation has been created in order to overcome the limitations of data collection during cricket matches.
Why my research is important
Development of a cricket batting simulation for use in future research, fitness testing of cricketers and as a cricket batting training tool.
Better understanding of fatigue during prolonged intermittent exercise that requires repeated changes of direction.
