Christina Nicholson

Christina Nicholson is a registered landscape architect, founding director of banksia & lime, and lecturer at the UWA School of Design.

Christina’s teaching and design approach combines extensive experience with people, community, places and the natural environment, with professional consultation, design and documentation.

She now teaches Structures and Systems, Plants and Landscape Systems, and Design Studios at the School of Design. Through her teaching practice, Christina expresses her passion for enabling people to see complexity and respond positively and creatively to the world around them.

In her professional practice she is passionate about using local and productive plants as ever‐changing textures and colours. Christina designs landscapes that connect families and communities to nature and each other in their everyday lives.

She enjoys empowering students, clients and communities to contribute positively and powerfully to the Climate and Biodiversity Loss Emergency and helping make the world more biodiverse, livable and beautiful.
