Shaun Lee-Chen is a dedicated violin teacher and internationally celebrated performer with a special interest in historical performance and 19th century violin pedagogy. He was a member of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO) for more than a decade before taking up the position of Artist in Residence at the UWA Conservatorium of Music.
Mr Lee-Chen is the Concertmaster of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra (ABO), appointed in 2016, and his soloist credentials include performances with WASO, Queensland Orchestra and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra (TSO).
He has been guest assistant and Associate Concertmaster with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and TSO, and performs regularly with WASO.
In 2015, the ABO’s album ‘Brandenburg Celebrates’, which included Mr Lee-Chen as a featured soloist, was nominated for an Aria Award for Best Classical Album.
