Engineering Direct Pathway

The pathway to professional engineering at UWA is now easier and more accessible than ever before. The ATAR for entry into the Engineering Direct Pathway is 80.

Our course structure, which has been developed in consultation with industry,  allows you to complete a Master of Professional Engineering through any one of UWA’s five Bachelor degrees, provided that Engineering Science is one of your majors. For example, you could finish with a Bachelor of Commerce as well as a Master of Professional Engineering. Allowing you to explore your passion and open you up to more opportunities in your future career.

Professional Practicum

Engineering students at UWA are required to complete a 12-week professional practicum that will provide you with important insights into the work of an engineer, allowing you to apply theory in real-world projects and develop skills that will assist you in your future career. There are a number of support services available on campus to help you secure a practicum placement. Students can start their professional practicum hours any time during their degree.

Jayden, a Master of Professional Engineering student, recently completed his 12-week professional practicum working at Rio Tinto.
