The West Australian Biogeochemistry Centre
The West Australian Biogeochemistry Centre (WABC) is a centralised, stable isotope facility housed at UWA. The Centre brings together a critical mass of researchers in stable isotope science, particularly in its application to environmental and ecological problems in both terrestrial and marine environments.
Facilities
The Centre is fully equipped for stable isotope studies, providing a variety of analytical and interpretive services to researchers at UWA and the broader scientific community.
Research
We conduct multidisciplinary research on the application of stable isotopes in ecology, biogeochemistry, organic geochemistry, hydrogeology, and paleoclimate studies.
Analytical Services
The Centre routinely offers isotope analyses of solid materials, including soils, carbonates, sediments, and plant and animal tissues.
