Established in 1976, the Berndt Museum holds one of Australias most important collections of Aboriginal art and cultural materials, as well as artefacts, photographs and sound recordings from Melanesia, Asia and South-East Asia.

Step back in time as you pass through an Eocene plant Grove, which flourished 38-55 million years ago, at the entrance of this museum. Inside you will find a repository of over 136,000 mineral, rock, fossil and meteorite specimens and a stimulating Earth Science exhibition for younger explorers. School groups are welcome.

SymbioticA is an artistic laboratory dedicated to the research, learning and critique of life sciences. It produces a major exhibition and conference focusing on biological art every two to three years.
The Cruthers Collection of Women's Art is a unique collection of art by Australian women. It spans the period 1892 to the present and includes 600 works by more than 150 artists, such as Margaret Preston, Joy Hester, Rosalie Gascoigne, Susan Norrie and Julie Dowling.
