Communications and identity

Communication impacts on all the University's activities.

The University's visual identity drives home messages related to our quality teaching and learning and research, as well as supporting our reputation for international excellence.

Communications

The UWA Communications and Marketing Strategy is a framework for developing marketing plans and strategies within the University. It is updated annually by Public Affairs.

Faculties, schools, centres and administrative units are guided by the strategy when they develop marketing plans and other strategies. Copies of the 2010 strategy are available from the University marketing manager.

Visual identity

The University's visual identity supports the University's priorities of:

  • continuing to attract high-quality staff and students
  • capitalising on opportunities to establish and build strategic partnerships
  • attracting resources from the public and private sectors.

Staff can access the visual identity guide and templates using their staff number and Pheme password.

Written style

Staff involved in creating publications should refer to the University's Style Guide. Advice on the University's written style is also available from the Publications Unit.
