Roles, responsibilities and expertise

As the Biological Safety Officer for UWA she is the Executive Officer of the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC)and aas such deals with many issues relating Gene Technology Research.
She runs a short session explaining the Gen Technology Act and Regulaqtions, and how you can undertake Gene Technology Research at UWA. She inspects the Universities certified facilities annually and deals with all manner of issues relating to the Office of the Gene Technology Regulator (OGTR)and Australian Quaratine Inspection Service (AQIS).
