Research interests include, educational leadership, school improvement, schools as organisations, change in education; teachers’ work, and industrial relations in education
Current research affiliations include:
•The Carpe Vitam ‘Leadership for Learning’ –project involving the University of Innsbruck, The Danish University of Education, The University of Oslo, The University of Patras, Cambridge University, the University of Washington and Griffith University. The project is supported by the Wallenberg Institute in Sweden and is led by Professor John MacBeath, the Chair of Educational Leadership at Cambridge University.
•The International Study of Principals’ Preparation (ISPP) involviing Instituto The Politecnico Nacional, Mexico, Texas State University, The University of Aberdeen, The University of Warwick, North West University, Potchefstroom Campus, South Africa, The University of Technology, Jamaica, The University of Calgary and Murdoch University
