Biography
My BSc studies was performed at the University of Glasgow and my BSc Honours and PhD degrees from the University of Western Australia where I specialised in immunity to viral infections. I continued studies on viral immunity at the John Curtin School of Medical Research, ANU, and then at St Jude Children's Hospital, Memphis, TN. before returning to UWA.
Key research
My main research has been in the pathogenesis of viral infections which has included studies of flaviviruses, lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus, parainfluenza viruses, cytomegalovirus and hepatitis C virus.

I oversee the Research Faciltites at the Medical Sciences Labs at Fremantle Hospital.

Development of methods to control progressive disease and control persisitent viral infections such as cytomegalovirus and hepatitis C virus.
