Biography
Prior to her appointment to The University of Western Australia in 1995 as Senior Administrative Officer in the Graduate School of Education Diane held the post of Faculty Administrator Economics & Social Science at the University of the West of England, Bristol for nearly four years. This followed 18 months as the Postgraduate Administrator at the University of Sheffield Management School. Having graduated from WAIT (now Curtin University of Technolgy) with a BA Social Science she worked in nearly all roles, both academic and professional, within the Department of Aboriginal and Intercullural Studies at what is now Edith Cowan University for eight years followed by three years at the Aboriginal Legal Service of WA Inc as a family and financial counsellor. Her love of university work saw her return to Curtin University as an administrator in the School of Accounting before expanding her horizons in the UK.
A major highlight of her time at UWA has been her participation in the wonderful Leadership Development for Women programme initiated by the late Professor Fay Gale and current Vice Chancellor Professor Alan Robson.
