Geology and tectonic history of sedimentary basins including sedimentology, sequence stratigraphy and history of relative sea-level change, reef geology, mass extinctions, and application to mineral and petroleum resources.

Industrial relevance

Application of sedimentary analysis and sequence stratigraphy to understanding depositional systems that host oil & gas, groundwater and ore minerals.
