The School Manager is a member of the Head of School Advisory Committee (HOSAC) and executive and plays a senior leadership role in the school and university. The Manager coordinates implementation of school policy, budget, personnel and planning issues so as to ensure the school’s effective and efficient functioning. With the assistance of the Operations Managers, the Manager coordinates the daily operations of the school and works closely with senior staff in the faculty and university community to further the university’s mission & goals.

The Manager is responsible to the Head of School for the management of the school’s:
•Financial and Resource Management
•Coordination and development of the school’s strategic and operational planning
•Marketing and promotion of the school’s activities (assisted by Melinda Hall, Marketing and Events Officer)
•Oversees human resource management within the school, and manages all professional/general staff within the school (assisted by David Faithfull, Deputy School Manager)
•Facilities, instrumentation and Information Management infrastructure (assisted by Operations Managers)

The School Manager is first point of contact for:
•Any external or future student enquiry who would like guidance regarding the most appropriate point of contact with the school
•Budget information and funding requests
•Concerns or complaints regarding any aspect of operation which has not been addressed by the appropriate operations manager
•Operational, information or budget enquiries external to the school
