- Biography
- Ian Reid has been working on the Course Structures Review and Future Framework Implementation as Senior Academic Reviewer since early 2007. Previously he was the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of Leadership Western Australia (2003-07), a not-for-profit public company, and also Principal of ReidMac Consulting Services (since 2002). As a consultant, Ian has conducted projects for numerous universities in Australia and overseas, and also across all sectors at the local, state and national level, mainly focused on organisational development and strategic planning. From 1991 to 2001 he was a Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Curtin University of Technology. He has been a Professor since his appointment to Deakin University in 1978, and now holds honorary professorial appointments at the University of Melbourne and JiLin University (PRC) as well as being a Winthrop Professor at UWA and an Emeritus Professor in Education at Curtin. He has postgraduate degrees in English (MA, Canterbury, NZ), Business (EMBA, Monash), and Australian Studies (PhD, Adelaide), and executive education certificates from the Stanford Graduate Business School and the Cornell School of Industrial & Labor Relations (USA).
