Since 2004, Anne McKenzie has worked as the Consumer Advocate at The University of Western Australia’s School of Population Health and the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research. The key task of this position is to develop and implement consumer and community engagement strategies in both organisations.

Anne has a long history of health consumer advocacy and currently serves as a senior consumer representative for the Consumers’ Health Forum of Australia and the Health Consumers Council of WA. Her most recent appointment has been to the NHMRC Council as the consumer observer.
