UWA is tackling the challenge of climate change through its expertise in agricultural and resource economics, water management, biodiversity, oceanography, population health and enabling sciences.
Australia and the globe are experiencing rapid climate change. The University of Western Australia has a vision to develop innovative solutions of worldwide importance in climate change research.
To meet this challenge, UWA is:
- exploring alternative energy technologies
- seeking to understand how climate change is affecting our Earth
- looking at the impact of climate change on the community
- identifying the range of climate change that the Earth can adopt
- introducing new degrees to educate and prepare the science minds of the future.
